Super Popup Blocker wasn't quite as effective or as easy to use as our #1-ranked product.
Super Pop up Blocker is fairly easy to use once installed. The program did have the odd habit of attempting to write to the system registry every time settings were changed. This slowed down operation of the program somewhat.
Super Popup Blocker will block basic popups and messenger service popups; beyond that it's very limited. Super Popup Blocker does come with an adware scanner.
We experienced no difficulties when installing Super Popup Blocker.
We liked how easy it was to email support with a question as well as how easy it was to connect directly to their homepage right from the control panel. Automatic update checking isn't included, however.
Super Popup Blocker includes a nice feature for protecting your privacy: you can set browser options to clean your cache, address bar, history, passwords, auto-complete data and cookies. In Windows you can clean document history, find/search history, run history, Wordpad history and your recycle bin. Each time you perform such a cleaning, Super Popup Blocker will display the last time you cleaned your system.
We would have liked to see the ability to protect your homepage from being hijacked and password-protected settings.
Super Popup Blocker is great for blocking traditional popups but weak when it comes to blocking a variety of different popups. Popups that made it past Super Popup Blocker include floating popups, exit popups, sticky popups and others.
Overall, Super Popup Blocker is an average popup blocker program. It's easy to install and use and can help protect you from annoying adware popups.
